AppleInsider reports that the latest builds of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard have included a possible clue towards 3G mobile wireless connectivity in future Macs.

The report comes after several rumours which speculated that Apple would build 3G connectivity into MacBook models later this year.
The reference which AppleInsider refers to can be found in the System Profiler in Mac OS X Snow Leopard in which a new “WWAN” (Wireless Wide Area Networking) section can be accessed. It is possible that this section has been added to prevent commonly available 3G USB adapters from appearing in the often convoluted USB section as they do currently.
